A graduate of Boston College Law School, Dan began his career in 1996 as an Hampden County Assistant District Attorney prosecuting cases in every Court in Hampden County.

In 2000, Dan joined one of the largest law firms in Springfield, expanding his criminal courtroom experience to include a wide breath of civil litigation matters including licensing, zoning, contract disputes and real estate transactions.

In 2006, Dan took his decade of criminal and civil litigation and opened his own firm in downtown Springfield. Rather than limiting himself to the skills he had already honed over a decade, he took on an even greater variety of cases and has amassed a wealth of courtroom experience. Dan has successfully represented clients charged with almost literally every crime currently on the books. From operating under the influence (OUI), Drug Trafficking, Firearms Offenses, Rape, Extortion, and Murder. In addition to his Criminal Defense practice Dan has amassed a long record of success in his Personal Injury practice as well. His clients have received significant settlements and verdicts for their injuries. It is Dan’s courtroom experience that makes the difference in these cases.

Dan founded Daniel D. Kelly & Associates in 2006, to offer his clients more competitive fees and better access without the overhead and constraints of a large firm. He has a full support staff and clients enjoy a responsive relatioship with him and his staff. Over the years, Dan has logged thousands of hours of courtroom experience in Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin and Worcester counties.
